Long Time No Update - 1.29.26

Well, hello there! First let me say, I sincerely apologize for slacking on updating this website. That is definitely my own fault, as life has been super busy. You can always catch up with posts over at https://www.facebook.com/thehydefamily/ as well.

But since we're here, I do want to say, I have full intentions on updating this website again! Starting right here and right now. I've had a little bit of a style change with my posts on The Hyde Family Facebook page. I've been trying to actually story tell more. Take storytelling with a grain of salt. It's not a full on plot-driven storyline. It's more of just me thinking of a scenario in my head that I want The Hydes to act out, and I write an excerpt of the situation. It's been pretty fun!

So what about this blogsite? I plan to post updates on what's going on with the family. Share the pictures that I share on the facebook page, but with more updates on what's going on, rather writing short stories about it. Unless you'd like to see that here too? I'm always open to suggestions!

I'll do a quick recap of everything that's been happening. Because if you know The Hyde Family, then you know there's always something going on.

For starters, our founder, Devin Hyde, passed away. Though we knew this day would eventually come, the death of Devin Hyde knocked the entire family down. It was sad, but also, it was very peaceful. The family through her a celebration of life ceremony. Lots of tears were shed, but, a lot of good memories and stories were told about Devin.

Devin was very loved and is very missed.

Everest Hyde - The Son of Ensley Hyde, and eldest grandchild of Devin Hyde, aged into a young adult. What a handsome stud he is. He moved to Evergreen Harbor, where he is currently fighting to save the ecosystem. He made a new friend, shortly after he moved in, named Gracie. She was into saving the ecosystem, just as much as Everest was.

The two began dating, and it wasn't long before he was ready to ask for Gracie's hand in marriage.

They got married in the married in the most perfect wedding venue. The wedding was outdoors at a botanical garden. The only thing that kept the wedding from perfection, was that Devin couldn't be there to celebrate.

Elias' Daughter (Devin's granddaughter from her son Elias) Paisley, aged up into a beautiful teen. But don't let that pretty smile fool you. Paisley has been going through a very rebellious phase, just like any teenager. It doesn't help that her brothers (Auggie - Left and Archie - Right) are picking on her.

She was sneaking around and dating a boy from her school by the name of Owen.

She stupidly made the mistake of sleeping with Owen. All it took was one time, before she became pregnant. She hid the secret well, nobody expected a thing. Until she began having extreme pain, and had to be rushed to the hospital.

This is where her mother Maisie (wife of Elias) would find out that her daughter had been pregnant for the first time. The news came as a shock to Maisie, but would soon be devastated to learn that Paisley would lose the baby.

(Trigger Warning: Miscarriage)

Paisley miscarried her baby. She found out quickly that they were unable to find the heartbeart, and that she was in the process of miscarrying. She was rushed to labor and delivery, where she would give birth to her son.

She named him Chi (pronounced like Kai.) After the devastating loss, Paisley was struggling with depression and trauma. But her family remained by her side, and they are helping her navigate this dark time.

Everest's younger brother, Emmett, met a girl he went to school with. Her name was Sofia. She's a pretty and nice girl. It took Emmett by surprise that Sofia agreed to go on a date with him, considering she had just broken up with the guy she had been dating for years.

These two hit it off, and began to see each other more and more. Emmett moved to Windenburg into his own house, and Sofia moved to the city, San Myshuno, in her own apartment. They would take turns traveling to spend the weekend together.

Not long after their wedding, Everest and Gracie found out that they were expecting their first child. They were both so thrilled. Especially when they found out it was a baby girl. Everest swore he would be the best father and husband to Gracie and their daughter.

And then Gracie gave birth to their daughter. They named her Dahlia, and she is the start of Generation 3! Navigating parenthood with your first child, is often a challenge. There's a lot of what-ifs, and "What do I Do?" But Everest and Gracie have been blessed to have Everest's parents (Ensley and Atlas) there for support.

On a trip to Mt. Komorebi, Sofia and Emmett learned that, they too, would be expecting their first child. At first, Emmett was freaked out. Panicking that things were moving too quickly, as he had only been together with Sofia for a little over a month. He was young, and still had a lot of things he felt like he had accomplished yet.

But after having a heart-to-heart with his brother Everest, Emmett discovered that he loves Sofia. He realized that even though this pregnancy was unexpected, he would be okay. He had his family, and he had his brother to lean on for support.

They always say that time is a thief. Baby Dahlia had learned how to crawl and to sit up. She even learned how to stand in her crib. She's been introduced to solid food, but of course, still loves her milk. Baby Dahlia was growing quickly.

Before they knew it, Dahlia would be walking. She's already beginning to talk. She loves to babble.

Emmett and Sofia then threw a gender reveal party for the entire family but with a twist. Instead of revealing just one gender, they actually got to reveal the genders of two babies! Emmett and Sofia surprised the family by telling them they were having twins.

They were having a boy and a girl. They're still working on names. They want the names of their babies to be perfect, as it's going to be part of their identity.

And currently, Sofia is in her nesting era. She's just a few days out from being in her third trimester. Since she's having twins, she is having a planned cesarean section. Emmett and Sofia have begun getting the nursery decorated and put together.

And together, they wait in anticipations for the next two babies of generation 3 to make their arrival.
